AMHERST, Mass. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) Philadelphia Wings franchise selected University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse close defenseman Jackson Suboch in the first round of the 2020 NLL Entry Draft with the 16th overall pick on Thursday evening.

Suboch, a three-year starter and four-year letterwinner for Massachusetts, appeared in 49 games and made 39 starts through four seasons of competition. He is eligible for a fifth year of competition due to the cancellation of the 2020 campaign due to the COVID-19 pandemic and intends to return to Massachusetts for the 2021 season.

Suboch accumulated 58 groundballs, 38 caused turnovers and one assist over the last three seasons as a starter. His 38 caused turnovers are the most among active players and are tied for the 10th-most in program history.
