Back On The Road As Women's Lax Takes On Harvard

• The Battle for the Bay State continues for the UMass women's lacrosse team as the Minutewomen take on intra-Commonwealth rival Harvard this Wednesday afternoon (3 PM) at Jordan Field in Cambridge.
• UMass won last year's meeting 22-17 using a second half rally after the Crimson led by 11-7 at halftime. Holly Turner notched five goals and two assists, while Stephanie Croke added three goals and two assists. Hannah Palau had a career-high three goals and an assist as well.
• The Minutewomen are coming off a 25-14 home loss to No. 1 Boston College last Thursday afternoon at Garber Field. The 14 goals by UMass have been the most scored on the Eagles who have reached the NCAA finals each of the last two years. Palau and Kiley Anderson each had three goals, while Caitlyn Petro had a career-high nine draw controls. Freshman goalie Gina Carroll made 14 saves in net.
• One of the most winningest programs in NCAA women's lacrosse over the last nine years with 143 victories (including this year), UMass has reached the NCAA Tournament in nine of the previous 10 years with the Minutewomen reaching the second round in 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2016, UMass reached the quarterfinals for the first time since 1984. Â
