Soudan Named Premier League Lacrosse Chrome LC Head Coach

Two-time all-American, UMass Athletics Hall of Fame member graduated UMass in 1990

LOS ANGELES - The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announced University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse alumnus Tim Soudan as the Chrome LC Head Coach on Monday evening. Soudan, a four-year letterman from 1987-90 and two-time USILA All-American, previously held coaching and administrative roles in Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and the National Lacrosse League (NLL).

Soudan, enshrined in the UMass Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012, was one of the most productive midfielders in the history of the men's lacrosse program. He posted 114 points via 84 goals and 30 assists, which ranked 15th all-time upon his graduation in 1990. Soudan won USILA All-America Second Team in 1989 and 1990, while he helped UMass reach the NCAA Tournament in each of his four campaigns.

Following his graduation, Soudan competed professionally in the NLL from 1991-2003 and MLL from 2001-03, while he also won gold medals with Team USA in 1994 amd 1998.

Soudan was the head coach of MLL's Rochester Rattlers franchise from 2011-17. He also served as the NLL's Rochester Knighthawks' assistant general manager and general manager following his playing career and was inducted into the Knighthawks' Hall of Fame in 2009.
