Men's Lacrosse Continues Partnership With Vs. Cancer Foundation

Minutemen raising donations, awareness for battle against childhood cancer
AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse has partnered again with the Vs. Cancer Foundation to raise awareness of and donations for the fight against pediatric cancer. It marks the seventh year UMass men's lacrosse and the Vs. Cancer Foundation have partnered. Individuals who wish to donate to the Vs. Cancer Foundation can do so here. All funds raised will be donated to the Baystate Children's Hospital in Springfield, Mass.
"We are thrilled and thankful to continue to be part of Vs. Cancer to help the young patients and families battling pediatric cancer," head coach Greg Cannella said. "This is a great opportunity for our very fortunate lacrosse program and players to help, give back and support the Vs. Cancer Foundation and those it supports."
Created by pediatric brain cancer survivor and former collegiate baseball player Chase Jones, Vs. Cancer empowers sports programs, individuals and groups to help kids with cancer. As a signature fundraising campaign of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Vs. Cancer proceeds help fund child life programs in local hospitals and groundbreaking research to cure pediatric brain tumors, the deadliest childhood cancer.
