Men's Lacrosse Alum Will Manny Guides MLL To All-Star Game Win

Manny scored overtime game-winner for Team MLL
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse alumnus Will Manny ('13) guided the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Team to a 15-14 overtime victory against Team USA with three goals and an assist during the 2018 MLL All-Star Game at Harvard Stadium on Thursday. Manny, who scored the overtime game-winner, earned the contest's most valuable player award for his efforts.
Manny recorded the game's opening goal and handed out an assist and scored again in the second on a diving, wrap-around goal at the left post from X. He finished off his hat trick and the game less than four minutes into the extra frame.
During the postgame ceremony, Manny announced that he will donate the $10,000 prize he received as the game's most valuable player to the Give-and-Go Foundation, which his MLL counterparts Adam Ghitelman and Scott Ratliff recently founded.
The appearance marked Manny's fourth consecutive MLL All-Star Game. In the midst of his sixth season playing at the major league level, Manny owns 263 career points via 169 goals (three 2-point tallies) and 91 assists over 74 career games played. His currently ranks eighth among MLL players in 2018 with 39 points for the New York Lizards.
The 5-foot-9, 160 pound attackman ranks fifth all-time at Massachusetts in points with 201 on 107 goals and 94 assists. He won USILA All-America First Team, NEILA Offensive Player of the Year and CAA Offensive Player of the Year as a junior in 2012, and was a three-time choice for the NEILA All-New Region and All-CAA awards listings.
