April 27, 2018 | Women's Lacrosse

Final home game at Garber Field will honor 2018 senior class in postgame ceremony.

AMHERST, Mass. - It's the final home regular-season game of the year as the UMass women's lacrosse team hosts Duquesne on Saturday afternoon at Garber Field. The Minutewomen will honor their nine member senior class in a special postgame ceremony. The opening draw is set for Noon and the game will be streamed live on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network.

UMass continues to be in the hunt for the Atlantic 10 top seed and regular-season championship title entering the final weekend. The Minutewomen (12-4, 7-1 A-10) are currently tied for the top spot with Richmond, but hold the tie-breaker over the Spiders by virtue of a head-to-head win last week. The Atlantic 10 Championship Tournament will be hosted in Richmond, Va., starting next Thursday, May 3 through Sunday, May 6. The top two seeds will earn a bye until Friday's semifinal round.

At Garber Field, UMass has won 12 consecutive games and are a perfect 5-0 this season.

Holly Turner continues to be one of the top players in the Atlantic 10 with 76 points on 34 goals and 42 assists. She leads the Atlantic 10 in assists and ranks second in points. Nationally, her 42 helpers ranks 13th overall. The senior attack looks to close out her career in the final weekend and postseason as one of the best players in program history. She holds the all-time career assists record (134), ranks second in points (263) and is eighth in goals (129).

Just behind Turner is Hannah Burnett who has a team-high 53 goals and 14 assists. The senior ranks 5th all-time in program history with 148 goals and is eighth in points (186). She needs two more goals to reach 150 for her career with the Mintuewomen and 14 points to reach 200. Entering the weekend, Burnett is third overall in the Atlantic 10 for goals scored and 23rd nationally.

Defensively, UMass has been anchored all year by senior Kasey Keane who is looking to close out her career on a high note. The Westwood, Mass., native ranks third in the A-10 in caused turnovers (38) and is second in groundballs. Keane's 54 groundballs this season is tied for the eighth-best in a single-season for program history and she needs six more to give her 100 for her career.

Along with her scoring (41 goals), Kiley Anderson has been impressive in the center circle this year with 101 draw controls. The redshirt junior now ranks sixth for a single-season in draws for the program's history, while her 115 career total is tied for sixth all-time.

Along with Turner, Burnett and Keane, the UMass women's lacrosse program will honor seniors Kristen LoManto, Abby Walker, Ashley Faulhaber, Alex Flobeck, Bella O'Connor and graduating junior Sam Walters. Overall, during their four years, this class has posted a 68-12 overall record along with winning three consecutive Atlantic 10 Championship titles, three NCAA Tournament appearances and the program's highest NCAA finish, the Elite Eight, since 1984.
