Women's Lax Heads To Mason, George Washington This Weekend

Minutewomen take on Patriots on Friday, Colonials on Sunday.
AMHERST, Mass. - Coming off a three-game home stand, the UMass women's lacrosse team starts a four-game road stretch this weekend at George Mason on Friday and George Washington on Sunday. The game against the Patriots is slated for a 6 PM start, while Sunday's game against the Colonials will be a Noon opening draw. Both games will be streamed live on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network.
The Minutewomen (9-3, 4-0 A-10) are currently tied with Richmond for the top spot in the league standings. George Mason is third with a 3-1 league record (9-3 overall), while George Washington is four-way tie for fourth (9-3, 2-2 A-10).
UMass enters the weekend with an NCAA record for consecutive regular-season league victories at 58 games. The Minutewomen are coming off an 18-4 win over St. Bonaventure and a 22-10 victory over La Salle last weekend at Garber Field.
Holly Turner continues to lead the offense with 55 points on a balanced 28 goals and 27 assists, while Hannah Burnett holds the team lead with 39 goals and is just behind Turner with 48 overall points. Both Kaitlyn Cerasi and Kiley Anderson have eclipsed 30 points for the year. Cerasi has 21 goals and 18 assists, while Anderson has 27 goals and five helpers.
Defensively, Kasey Keane continues to enjoy her best career season with 30 caused turnovers and 40 groundballs. Goalie Lauren Hiller is the keeper of record with an 11.44 goals-against-average while making 8.2 saves per game. In conference play, Hiller's GAA drops to 8.22 while her save percentage stands at 0.472 while making 6.3 saves per game.
Turner will set the new UMass career record for assists this weekend with her first in the two game set. She is currently tied for first alongside Katie Ferris (2011-14) with 119 for her career. She also ranks second all-time in career points (242) behind Ferris' 330 points. Burnett ranks seventh in program history for career goals (134), while Turner ranks ninth (123).
Following this weekend's play, the Minutewomen will again return to the Virgina area next weekend with games at Richmond and VCU.
