Minutewomen looking to extend NCAA-record 54 league game win streak.

AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass women's lacrosse team official opens Atlantic 10 action this weekend looking to extend its NCAA record 54 game league win streak starting Thursday at Saint Joseph's in Philadelphia. The Minutewomen will then return home to Garber Field to host Davidson on Saturday. Both games are set for opening draws at Noon and each will be streamed live online via the Atlantic 10 Digital Network. Saturday's home game is free to all.

UMass (5-3) was picked to win its 10th consecutive Atlantic 10 Championship title prior to the season's start. The Minutewomen's NCAA record win streak dates back to the 2011 season.

Holly Turner leads UMass with 37 points this season with 22 goals and 15 assists. She's followed by Hannah Burnett who has 31 points on 26 goals with five assists. Kaitlyn Cerasi is closing in on the 30-point mark with 25 points for her sophomore season - her 15 goals are tied for third-best on the team. Burnett ranks second in the A-10 in goals, while Turner is sixth. Kiley Anderson has been strong in the draw circle ranking second in the A-10 with 5.5 per game.

Defensively, the Minutewomen have been led by senior Kasey Keane who leads the squad with 30 groundballs and 21 caused turnovers. Keane ranks third in the A-10 in caused turnovers per game (2.38) and is second in groundballs (3.5). Lauren Hiller is the goalie of record with a 0.412 save percentage making just over nine saves per game.

Turner enters the week ranked fourth in career points with 224. She needs just a handful of points to pass Jackie Lyons (226, 2008-11) for third and Erika Eipp (229, 2014-16) for second. Katie Ferris is the program's all-time point leader with 330 from 2011-14. After the Harvard win, Turner also moved into the top-10 for career goals (10th, 117) and assists (3rd, 107). She needs 12 more assists to tie Ferris for the program record (119).

Saint Joseph's is 4-4 on the year coming off an overtime win at Wagner last Saturday. The Hawks are coming off a strong 2017 campaign that saw the program earn the second-seed in the A-10 Championship Tournament but fell to Richmond in the the semifinals.

Davidson has won three straight to improve to 5-3 this season and will host La Salle on Thursday before traveling to Western Mass. UMass defeated the Wildcats 21-6 last year in the A-10 Semifinals after Davidson defeated George Mason 14-13 in the opening round.
