Minutewomen and Bulldogs set for 3:30 PM opening draw.

AMHERST, Mass. – Coming off a tough loss at No. 5 Boston College on Wednesday, the No. 19 UMass women's lacrosse team heads back on the road this Saturday to take on Yale in New Haven, Conn. The game will be streamed online via the Ivy League Digital Network.

This will mark the third time in the last four years that the teams have played following a five-year break in the all-time series. UMass is 13-10 all-time in a series that dates back to 1979. The Minutewomen won 9-3 over Yale in New Haven during the 2015 season and 13-3 in 2016 at Garber Field. UMass has already picked up a win against the Ivy League this year after the season-opening win against Dartmouth a week ago.

UMass (1-1) is led offensively by Hannah Burnett's eight goals and Holly Turner's six goals and two assists. Burnett scored six goals in the win over Dartmouth, while Turner had a game-high five against Boston College. Kiley Anderson is off to a strong start as well with five goals and an assist.

Defensively, Lauren Hiller has been strong in cage making 18 saves over the two opening games of the year. She also leads the team in groundballs (8) and is tied for the team lead in caused turnovers (3).

For her UMass career, Burnett passed the 100-goal plateau against Dartmouth and now has 103 in 44 career games with the Minutewomen after transferring from Florida. Her 62 goals last year ranks 3rd all-time at UMass for a single-season.

Turner is now five points shy of the 200-point mark and needs six more assists to reach 100 in her career. The senior ranks fourth all-time for career assists (94) and is seventh for career points (195). She also passed 100 career goals during Wednesday's game and enters the weekend with 101 through 65 games.

Yale (2-0) has wins over Albany and Quinnipiac this year. Kayla Duperrouzel, Addie Zinsner, and Barrett Carlson are tied for the team lead with five goals each. Izzy Nixon has a team high three assists. In goal, Sydney Marks sports a 9.00 goals-against-average and a .280 save percentage.

Following the game, UMass will continue its six-game road swing on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Marist. The game is slated for a 4 PM opening draw.
