Minutewomen take on Explorers this Thursday, Bonnies on Saturday.

AMHERST, Mass. - Coming off a pair of Atlantic 10 wins last week to extend its NCAA record league win streak to 49 games, the UMass women's lacrosse team (9-3, 4-0 A-10) heads to La Salle on Thursday (3 p.m.) and St. Bonaventure on Saturday (12 p.m.) for a pair of road contests. Both games will be streamed online via the Atlantic 10 Digital Network.

In addition to its current win streak against Atlantic 10 foes in the regular-season (dating back to 2011), UMass is also riding a current eight game win streak.

The Minutewomen defeated Davidson on the road last Friday, 16-6, before returning home to pick up a win over Richmond, 19-13, on Saturday. Callie Santos was tabbed the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week after posting 10 points on eight goals and two assists in the two games. She notched a career-high six goals in the win over Richmond including three in an 84-second burst in the second half. Sarah Crowley earned her third A-10 honor of the year as the Co-Defensive Player of the Week after picking up five caused turnovers, five draw controls, a groundball and an assist. Crowley and the defense held both teams to a combined 1-for-10 on free position chances including an 0-for-7 mark against the Spiders.

Overall this season, Holly Turner continues her impressive junior campaign with a team-best 46 points on 21 goals and 25 assists. She is followed by Hannah Burnett who has 41 points thanks to a team-high 34 goals. Hannah Murphy and Santos are both tied with 24 goals while Kiley Anderson has 20 on the year. Murphy also leads the team in draw controls with 110 which leads the nation.

Defensively, freshman Lauren Hiller has been the goalie of record posting an 11.03 goals-against-average and a .468 save percentage. The unit in front of her has been led by Crowley who has a team-high 32 caused turnovers alongside 34 groundballs. Allison Ryan is second on the team in caused turnovers with 21 while scooping up 26 groundballs.

Nationally, UMass ranks in the top 10 in several categories: points per game (9th, 22.25), assists per game (3rd, 8.42), caused turnovers per game (4th, 12.17), draw controls per game (5th, 15.92), and first in free position conversion (0.604). Individually, Murphy leads the NCAA in draw controls per game (9.17) while Crowley ranks seventh in caused turnovers (2.67/game). Burnett's 34 goals have come on the nation's 10th-best shooting percentage at 61.8 percent.

Entering the week, Murphy ranks seventh in the history of the NCAA with 407 career draw controls. She needs 33 more to move into sixth all-time.

In the program record book, Turner has moved into sixth all-time for career assists (69) while Murphy has moved into 10th for career goals (110). Murphy is the all-time leader in career draw controls now 206 ahead of current assistant coach Kelsey McGovern who held the previous record. Crowley has moved into eighth all-time in career caused turnovers (71).

The Explorers enter the week with a 6-6 overall record and a 2-2 mark in league play. St. Bonaventure is 2-8 overall and 0-3 in the A-10. UMass is currently the league leader but is a game ahead of second-place George Mason which is 8-4 overall and 3-0 in the league.
