HIGHLIGHTS
- Grant Consoletti and Jeff Trainor each forced a pair of turnovers while Tyler Weeks scooped up four ground balls.
- Dan Muller paced the Minutemen with two goals, his first multi-goal game of 2017 and ninth of his career.
- Muller and Buddy Carr both totaled six shots; Carr finished with two goals, his first multi-goal game of the season and the seventh of his career.
- D.J. Smith was in goal for 53:31, recording 14 saves; Sean Sconone played the final 6:29 and made one save.
FIRST QUARTER
UAlbany took a 4-3 lead after the first quarter. UMass saw goals from Dom St. Laurent (second of the season), Ben Spencer (fourth of the season) and Dan Muller (third of the season). Connor Fields scored two for the Danes in the first frame. St. Laurent assisted on Muller's score.
SECOND QUARTER
Muller scored his second goal of the game and fourth of the season at the 12:23 mark of the second quarter. The Great Danes scored six unanswered goals, including three from Justin Reh, to close the first half. UAlbany led 11-4 at the half.
THIRD QUARTER
The Minutemen and the Great Danes each netted a pair of goals in the third quarter. Both UMass scores came courtesy of Buddy Carr at 10:38 and 6:01. UAlbany entered the final 15 minutes leading 13-6.
FOURTH QUARTER
Adam Osika scored two of UAlbany's four goals in the fourth quarter. Jake Marino scored his second goal of the season (third of his career) at the 11:37 mark. John Tierney netted his first goal of the second and the second of his career with 3:04 to play.
