Senior Day Headlines Final Regular Season Series with Dayton

AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts softball will host the Dayton Flyers for a three-game series beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday. Before the first game on Saturday, the team will have a ceremony to honor its seniors.

The Minutewomen (21-22, 12-6 A-10) are coming off of a win against Bryant on Thursday. Led behind home runs from senior Olivia Godin and redshirt sophomore Jena Cozza, UMass cruised to an 8-1 win over the Bulldogs.

Sophomore Meg Colleran leads the Atlantic 10 with 18 wins inside the circle. The right-hander has a 2.22 ERA in 30 starts this season, also recording 121 strikeouts, which is third in the conference.

Offensively, Cozza leads the Minutewomen with a .370 batting average, 10 doubles and 10 home runs. The shortstop has three home runs in her last five games.

Dayton (26-16-1, 14-2-1 A-10) head to Amherst first in the conference standings after sweeping Fordham in a doubleheader on May 1st.

Gabrielle Snyder leads the Flyers with a 1.17 ERA across 19 appearances (nine starts). Manda Cash, the 2015 A-10 Rookie of the Year, is 10-7 with a 1.20 mark, having also posted four shutouts.

Snyder also leads the team with a .397 batting average. The junior is tied for fifth in the conference with 12 doubles and has scored 18 runs to lead the team.

Prior to Saturday's doubleheader, UMass will honor its senior class of Godin, Taylor Carbone and Lindsey Zenk.
