Seven Minutewomen Earn NFCA Academic Honors

AMHERST, Mass. - Seven student-athletes from the University of Massachusetts softball team have been named 2015 NFCA All-American Scholar Athletes, the NFCA announced recently.
Graduates Bridget Lemire, Anna Kelley, Allison Kearney, seniors Taylor Carbone, Lindsey Zenk, and juniors Caitlin Hickey and Whitney Cooper were all recognized for their work in the classroom in 2014-15. To be named an NFCA Scholar Athlete, student-athletes must keep a 3.5 minimum GPA throughout the course of the academic year.
Carbone, Hickey, Kearney, Kelley, Lemire and Zenk were also named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the spring, along with Cote Clark.
