Connolly Named LaxNews College Beat Player Of Week

AMHERST, Mass. -- UMass senior attacker Jim Connolly was named the LaxNews College Beat Player of the Week and UMass/Dinn Bros. Athlete of the Week after his career-high seven goals in UMass' 18-6 win over Yale on Saturday afternoon at Garber Field. Connolly's seven goals were the most by a UMass player since Jeff Zywicki netted seven in 2003 vs. Albany.
LaxNews has UMass ranked No. 16 in its weekly poll. This is the second time Connolly has been named UMass/Dinn Bros. Athlete of the Week.
The Minutemen return to action in a huge game at Harvard next Saturday in Cambridge.
