Minutewomen Continue Fall Ball Season This Weekend

AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass Softball team will continue their fall ball season this weekend when it hosts three games at the UMass Softball Complex. On Friday, the Minutewomen will square off against Holy Cross at 4 PM. After a trip to the University of Connecticut on Saturday, UMass will return home to play a double header against Central Connecticut. First pitch for game one is set for 12 PM. Admission is free to all for the Minutewomen's entire fall ball schedule.
Next weekend, pitching legend Danielle Henderson will be inducted into the UMass Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday, October 9. The ceremony and dinner will be held at the UMass Student Union Ballroom at 6 p.m. and tickets are being sold for $40. The weekend continues on Saturday, Oct. 10 with the annual Alumni Game at noon at the UMass Softball Complex. That evening, at 6 p.m., the 2009 Team Banquet will be held at the Massachusetts Room of the Mullins Center.
