Lacrosse Set To Battle No. 9 Navy

The University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse team continues its season-long three-game homestand with a contest against No. 9 / 9 Navy. The Midshipmen are 3-0 entering Saturday's contest with the Minutemen. Navy is coming off two strong wins, the first against No. 19 Ohio State, 13-10, and No. 9 North Carolina, 9-8, in four overtimes. Navy also topped Marist, 12-1, in a weather-shortened opener. The Minutemen are ranked No. 7 / 7 in both national polls (Inside Lacrosse Power Poll / USILA Poll) and were rated No. 1 in the preseason NEILA New England Regional rankings. UMass is coming off a 17-7 decision over Stony Brook, giving the Minutemen a 2-0 start.
