Softball Cancels Weekend Games

AMHERST, Mass.- The University of Massachusetts softball program announced the cancellation of four games scheduled for this weekend in reaction to Tuesday's attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

The Minutewomen will not play on either Saturday, Sept. 15 or Sunday, Sept. 16 against AIC, Merrimack College or Holy Cross. UMass will kick-off its fall season on Friday, Sept. 21 as the Minutewomen travel to Boston University for a 3:00 p.m. start.
