TAMPA, Fla. -- Sophomore pitcher Jennifer Hadley (Bristol, Conn.) scattered seven hits over seven innings, earning her first win of the season in a 2-1 victory over Penn State on Friday at the Speedline Invitational. UMass improves to 3-11 on the season with the win, while Penn State drops to 10-7.

UMass jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
