Massachusetts Hockey Announces Schedule For 2025-26

AMHERST, Mass. – Matchups with seven 2025 NCAA Tournament teams highlight the 2025-26 Massachusetts hockey schedule, which was announced on Wednesday.

The Minutemen open the season with a pair against Northern Michigan at the Mullins Center on October 4-5, facing the Wildcats for the first time since 1999. UMass will then travel to Stonehill on Friday, October 10 before opening Hockey East play at home against Northeastern on Friday, October 17.

Bentley will visit the Mullins Center on Saturday, October 18, before the Minutemen head west to Omaha for a pair on October 24-25, the squad's first trip to visit the Mavericks since 2003.

UMass returns home to play host to 2025 ECAC champion Cornell on October 31 and November 1, beginning a stretch of eight straight games against 2025 NCAA Tournament teams. The slate continues with a home series against Maine on Thursday and Friday, November 6-7, a home-and-home with Boston College on Friday, November 14 (away) and Saturday, November 15 (home). The Minutemen then travel to Providence on Thursday, November 20, before playing host to the Friars on Saturday, November 22.

To wrap up November, UMass will head to West Point, New York, to play Army West Point on Black Friday (November 28). The Minutemen then close out the calendar year with a pair at Northeastern on Saturday and Sunday, December 6-7.

UMass will kick off 2026 hosting Boston University on Friday, January 9 before traveling to Boston to face the Terriers on Saturday, January 10. On Friday and Saturday, January 16-17, the Maroon & White will take on Merrimack in a two-game set that starts in North Andover followed by a meeting at the Mullins Center.

The Minutemen will travel to Burlington for a pair against Vermont on Friday and Saturday, January 23-24, before closing out the month by hosting Northeastern on Friday, January 30.

UMass opens February with three straight against UMass Lowell, traveling to Lowell on Sunday, February 1, and Friday, February 6, before hosting the River Hawks on Saturday, February 7.

New Hampshire visits the Mullins Center on Friday, February 20, while the Minutemen travel to Durham on Saturday, February 21. On February 27-28, UMass will take on UConn in a home-and-home that begins in Storrs with the Huskies coming to Amherst for a Saturday contest.

The Minutemen will then wrap up their home slate by hosting Boston College on Thursday, March 5, before heading back to Durham, New Hampshire on Saturday, March 7 for the regular season finale.
