Minutewomen Collect 50th Straight A-10 Regular Season Win, Defeating Saint Joseph’s 14-11

PHILADELPHIA, PA. -- Massachusetts women's lacrosse (7-3, 5-0 A-10) collected its fifth straight win with a 14-11 victory over Saint Joseph's (5-7, 4-1) on Wednesday afternoon at Sean Sweeney Field. With the performance the Minutewomen earned their 50th consecutive Atlantic 10 regular season win, dating back to 2018.
Despite being outshot 36-29 in the matchup the Minutewomen were fueled by an efficient offensive attack, scoring 14 goals on 29 shots including 22 on goal.
Tessa Shields led the Minutewomen offensively, scoring five goals on eight shots on the afternoon. The performance marks her fourth game with four or more goals this season.
Kassidy Morris also totaled five points, scoring four goals while recording an assist. Morris has now recorded four or more goals in seven consecutive games.
Catrina Tobin anchored the Massachusetts defensive effort, recording nine saves while facing 20 shots. Lauren Tolve led the Minutewomen with three caused turnovers and four draw controls.
The Hawks were led by Alexa Capozzoli who recorded three points on two goals and an assist.
