Last Time Out
The Minutewomen picked up their first win of the season with a 1-0 shutout over Rutgers on Sunday afternoon, improving to 1-2-0 on the season.

Senior midfielder Bella Recinos put home the game's lone goal in the 81st minute, while redshirt senior goalkeeper Bella Mendoza came away with her 12th career shutout.

After a scoreless first half, the Scarlet Knights maintained most of its control before Massachusetts recorded its first shot at the 74:46 mark. Graduate student Grace Pinkus sent a ball towards the net that was blocked by Rutgers, before senior Chandler Pedolzky took a touch and crossed the ball into the 18-yard box. The ball was headed out by Rutgers, as Recinos corralled it and dribbled it back into the box. A left-footed boot by Recinos found its way to the top right of the net at the 80:10 mark to give the Minutewomen the lead.

Mendoza had her first shutout of the season after stopping four shots, including a huge save in the final minutes to help UMass hold on to its lead.

Keeping Track
Mendoza placed her name on the program's career saves list, ranking eighth after collecting her 214th save against Rutgers last Sunday.

Additionally, graduate student midfielder Ella Curry is six games away from putting her name on the career games played list.
