Women’s Soccer Unveils 2026 Schedule

The Minutewomen open the season on August 13 on the road against St. John’s.

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's soccer and head coach Jason Dowiak announced the team's 2026 regular season schedule on Thursday. Massachusetts will host nine matches at home on Rudd Field, including six Mid-American Conference contests.

Prior to the official start of the season, UMass will play two exhibition matches. Exhibition competition will begin with a neutral site game against UConn on Wednesday, August 5, in Ludlow, Massachusetts, before hosting Bryant on Sunday, August 9 at Rudd.

The Minutewomen are scheduled to play seven non-conference opponents with three of those contests set to be played at home. Massachusetts kicks off the 2026 campaign on Thursday, August 13, heading to Queens, New York, to take on St. John's.  UMass then opens its home slate against NJIT on Thursday, August 20. The Minutewomen then hit the road for two games, stopping in Cambridge, Massachusetts, first on Monday, August 24 to face Harvard, before taking on Brown on Thursday, September 3, in Providence, Rhode Island. UMass returns home for back-to-back contests at Rudd, competing against UMass Lowell on Sunday, September 6, and Yale on Thursday, September 10. Massachusetts wraps its out-of-league play with a road game on Sunday, September 13, at Northeastern in Boston, Massachusetts.

Massachusetts begins MAC play on Thursday, September 17, on the road against Ball State in Muncie, Indiana, before traveling to Athens, Ohio, on Sunday, September 20 to take on Ohio. UMass hosts Kent State at Rudd on Saturday, September 26, and will then head to Bowling Green, Ohio, to face Bowling Green on Thursday, October 1. The Minutewomen compete in back-to-back home contests against Toledo on Sunday, October 4, and Akron on Sunday, October 11. Massachusetts hits the road to take on Buffalo on Thursday, October 15, in Buffalo, New York, and return to Rudd Field for three straight matches. UMass hosts Miami (OH) on Sunday, October 18, Central Michigan on Saturday, October 24 and Western Michigan on Thursday, October 29. The regular season concludes on Sunday, November 1, with a trip to Ypsilanti, Michigan, for a game against Eastern Michigan.
