ÂSeason Rewind
The Minutewomen will be bringing 30 athletes to Virginia Beach for the A-10 Championships. Of those going, are six Minutewomen who have engraved their names into the record book this season.Â
On the field side, is junior Courtney Rowland and sophomores Megan Frazee and Jaliyah Burns who have all set top-5 program marks this season. Rowland improved her spot in the record book as she came into the season with the fifth best high jump mark. After jumping 5' 8" at the UConn Husky Invitational, Rowland is now fourth all-time behind former teammate Liz Lodge. Frazee and Burns have had successful sophomore seasons so far, as Frazee's indoor pole vault mark of 12' 8.25" is good for second all-time while Burns is third all-time in the weight throw with a mark of 54' 2".Â
On the track, are transfers Rebecca Hartman and Elise O'Leary who have made an immediate impact since coming to UMass. The distance duo have left their marks, as O'Leary set the third best 800m time (2:10.69) while Hartman now has the fourth best 5000m time (17:09.71) at UMass. Along with them, is Katelyn Gorgenyi who has been consistent in the 60m hurdles, making the finals in all but two meets this year. Gorgenyi also finds herself in the record books as her 60m hurdles time of 8.79 at BU's Terrier Classic is fifth all-time at UMass.
