PRINCETON, N.J. — The University of Massachusetts women's track and field team competed at the Jay Carisella / Joe Donahue Coaches Invitational and Jay Ellis Invitational on May 1-2.
Highlights from Competition:
Massachusetts returns to action for the New England Championships on May 8-9 in Easton, Mass., at 10 am.
Highlights from Competition:
Jay Ellis Invite:
- Jillian Strynar, Ashley Johnson, Chloe Guthrie and Jana DeRaedt combined to run a 46.66 in the women's 4x100m relay, taking fifth place.
- Strynar also placed ninth in the women's 100m dash with a time of 12.10, and fifth in the 200m dash with a finish of 24.51.
- Skylar Fox placed seventh in the women's 800m run with a time of 2:14.84. Simeone Harrison finished right behind with a time of 2:15.16, taking eighth.
- Anna McElhinney took eighth in the women's 5k with a finish of 16:59.17. Rylee Davis rounded out the top 10 with a performance of 17:04.50.
- Tesaira Williams placed ninth in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 14.24. Jennifer Williams placed 10th with a time of 14.27.
- Ingibjorg Sigurdardottir placed third in the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.65.
- Agnes Thundal took fourth in the women's 3k steeplechase with a finish of 10:21.67.
- Ashley Johnson, Leila Metres, Ali Murphy and Ingibjorg Sigurdardottir combined to run a 3:49.78 in the women's 4x400m relay, taking fifth.
- Tolu Odetola placed fourth in the women's triple jump with a leap of 41'1.5".

- Megan Frazee placed first in the women's pole vault with a clear of 12'1.75".
- Coco Van Nynatten placed third in the women's discus with a toss of 151'1". Natalie Krysta took seventh with a throw of 145'3".
- Jaliyah Burns took fourth in the women's hammer throw with a toss of 167'7".
- Mattie Bishop placed fourth with a throw of 44'8.50" in the women's shot put.
