AMHERST, Mass. – Massachusetts (9-3-4, 4-2-1 A10) is set for a matchup with Saint Bonaventure (6-7-3, 2-3-2 A10) Saturday afternoon in Saint Bonaventure, NY. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. with action streaming live on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Minutemen are coming off a 1:0 victory over Duquesne Saturday afternoon. Alec Hughes scored his team-leading 12th goal of the year in the 47th minute, leading UMass to victory.

Hughes Chasing Records
Alec Hughes currently stands second among All-Time goal scorers in program history (47), trailing only Jeff Deren '03 (48). Hughes ranks sixth in the NCAA top goal scorer chart with 12 goals on the season and 25 points respectively. He is currently trailing recent Massachusetts Athletics Hall of Famer Jeff Deren on most goals scored (48) and total points in program history (113), with Hughes having 47 goals and 102 points.

Deren ('99-'03) was announced as an inductee into the Hall of Fame this past August, helping the Minutemen to Atlantic 10 regular season championships in 2000 and 2002 while also leading UMass to the 2001 Atlantic 10 Tournament championship and an appearance in the second round of the NCAA tournament. Deren was twice named an All-American (2001, 2002), Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year (2001, 2002) and an All-New England honoree (2001, 2002).

Playoff Picture
UMass sits at sixth in the Atlantic 10 standings, with George Mason in the conference lead. A win on Saturday would set the Minutemen up with a chance of hosting a playoff game in the Atlantic 10 tournament. Two points currently separate the 2nd-6th seeds. Marquee conference matchups on Saturday include second-place St. Louis against fourth-place Dayton, third-seeded Duquesne vs. fifth-seeded Fordham, and sixth-place Massachusetts vs. ninth-place St. Bonaventure. The top four seeds will host the first round of the A-10 Tournament.

Eyes on the Minutemen
UMass was ranked 22nd in the NCAA Men's Soccer RPI and received six votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. This put the Minutemen two points shy of being ranked in the top 25 teams nationally.
