Last time out 

  • The Massachusetts Women's Lacrosse team rose to 14-2 on Saturday with a hard-fought 14-8 win over the Hawks of St. Joseph's University to send their seniors off with a victroy. This win saw the Minutewomen climb to an astounding 8-0 in the Atlantic 10 and maintain the best record in the conference.  
  • Kelly Marra needed nearly notched the socktrick today as the graduate student was kept busy the entire game, stuffing the stat sheet with five goals and an assist. Junior Fiona McGowan and graduate student Kendra Harbinger logged two goals each and furthered the UMass charge towards victory.
  • Senior Gina Carroll flew solo on Saturday afternoon, holding the Hawks to under 10 goals, and adding another win to her remarkable season thus far.

  • UMass leads the all-time series over Davidson 8-0.
  • The Wildcats last met UMass in the semifinals of the 2021.
The Last Time vs. Davidson

  • The No. 22 Massachusetts women's lacrosse team (14-2) put on one of its strongest defensive efforts of the season, holding Davidson (11-4) to just two second half goals as the Minutewomen topped the Wildcats in the 2022 Atlantic 10 Semifinals.
  • Massachusetts won 13 consecutive games dating back to March 7, 2021, tied for the fifth-longest winning streak in program history.
  • The Minutewomen defense forced Davidson into 22 turnovers on the day, with Courtney Barrett leading the way with four caused turnovers while Brinley Anderson added two caused turnovers and a game-high seven ground balls.
  • The defense led to offense at the other end as Massachusetts received goals from seven different players. Maddy MoloneyKelly Marra and Olivia Muscella also added multi-goal efforts.

Head Strong

  • The Massachusetts women's lacrosse program participated in the Head Strong Foundations, Hair Havoc game for cancer on March 5 against UConn.

  • Under the Headstrong Foundation, graduate midfielder, Olivia Muscella has created Kendra's Kindness Foundation in honor of her mother. All proceeds from the March 5 contest were donated to families effected by cancer in the name of the Kendra's Kindness Foundation. 
  • The fundraiser is a season-long effort as the Minutewomen work to benefit more families impacted my cancer. 
Davidson this season 

  • Davidson is currently third in the Atlantic 10 standings, behind Richmond and UMass.
  • Gianna New leads the Wildcats with 44 goals and 53 total point on the season, and sits second in the A-10 in goals per game with 3.44. 
  • Grace Fahey has tallied 40 goals and 44 points on the year. 
  • Erin Cooke sits at No. 1 in the conference in assists per game, and in points per game at 4.19. 
  • The Wildcats are third in goals per game and points per game as a team. 
Leading the Pack

  • Kendra Harbinger is currently No.3 in the conference in goals per game at 2.79, and fifth in points per game. 
  • Kelly Marra is currently third in the A-10 for goals per game with 2.54. 
  • Senior Julia Smith is 10th in assists per game with 1.06. 
  • The Minutewomen currently lead the A-10 in scoring Margin, winning by an average of 8.1 goals per game. 
  • UMass is currently No. 3 in the NCAA for scoring percentage, and the No. 13 for scoring defense. 
  • Massachusetts is the No. 4 scoring offense in the nation heading into the weekend. 
  • With her 200th win, Angela McMahon-Serpone further solidified her spot as the winningest coach in program history. 
  • UMass is currently fourth in scoring offense nationally, and first in clear percentage, while being 8th in win percentage. 
  • UMass was picked as the favorite to win the league in the A-10 Preseason Coaches' Poll.
