Lindberg Repeats As Hockey East Goaltender Of The Month

The junior posted a .952 save percentage and a 1.44 GAA in February.

AMHERST, Mass. – Massachusetts hockey junior goaltender Filip Lindberg has been selected as Hockey East Goaltender of the Month for February, the league office announced on Tuesday. Lindberg repeats as Goaltender of the Month after earning the honor in January and is the fourth monthly honor garnered by a member of the Minutemen this season.

Lindberg went 2-0-0 with a pair of road wins against ranked opponents in February and stopped 59 of 62 shots for a .952 save percentage and a 1.44 goals-against average. The Espoo, Finland native made 30 saves in an 8-1 win at #14 Providence and followed up with a 29 save performance in a 3-2 victory at #1/2 Boston College. He is now 4-0-2 since returning from injury with a .969 save percentage and a 0.80 GAA during that span.
 
Currently Lindberg leads the nation with a .945 save percentage and is second in the country with a 1.46 goals-against average on the season.
