UMass Softball Unveils 2022 Schedule

The Minutewomen open the 51-game schedule on Feb. 11-13 at the Spartan Classic.
AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts softball team unveiled its 51-game schedule for the 2022 season on Friday afternoon. The Minutewomen open the season on Feb. 11-13 at the Spartan Classic in Spartanburg, S.C. and host Boston College in the home opener at Sortino Field on March 23.
UMass begins the season with four tournaments and head to San Antonio, Texas for four games on Feb. 18-20 before heading to the Bulldog Classic in Athens, Ga. March 4-6 and to the USF Tournament in Tampa, Fla on March 11-13. The non-conference tournament schedule features games against Georgia, South Florida, and Ohio State. The Minutewomen also host Maine, UConn, and UMass Lowell at Sortino Field as part of non-conference play and will play at Boston University and Stony Brook as part of out of league action.
The Minutewomen open Atlantic 10 play on the road with a three-game series at Rhode Island beginning on March 19 and remain on the road for league play at Saint Louis the following weekend. UMass also hits the road for conference series at George Mason and Dayton.
UMass hosts 17 games at Sortino Field, including four three-game A-10 series. Home league play begins on April 2 with a three-game series against Fordham before a stretch of seven straight games at home, beginning with St. Bonaventure on April 15. The Minutewomen host the River Hawks on April 20 and resume A-10 play on April 23 against Saint Joseph's. The regular season closes out on May 7-8 with a three-game series against George Washington.
The Atlantic 10 Championship will be held on May 11-14 in Fairfax, Va. at George Mason.
