Videtto Named Atlantic 10 Player Of The Week

The junior outfielder hit .583 over four games while driving in seven runs in a single contest.
AMHERST, Mass. – Caroline Videtto was named the Atlantic 10 Softball Player of the Week on Monday after batting .583 over the weekend at the Upstate Classic in Spartanburg, S.C.
Videtto (Kingston, Mass.) recorded hits in all four games for the Minutewomen as she opened up the season by going 2-of-4 with a RBI and run scored in a 6-2 win over Buffalo Friday. The junior followed that up in game two with a 3-of-3 performance in which she tied the UMass mark for second-most RBI in a single game with seven while hitting her first career home run, a grand slam in the second inning of a game two win over Maryland Eastern Shore. Videtto scored four runs on the weekend and added a 1.000 slugging-percentage in 12 at-bats.
The Minutewomen are back in action this weekend for four more contests as they head to Greenville, N.C. for the Pirate Invitational.
