Atlantic 10 Conference Opener
The matchup against the Flyers marks the Atlantic 10 Conference opener for the Minutemen while 10 teams in the league had their conference openers during the week. UMass is 1-1 in A-10 openers over the last two years, picking up a 3-1 win on the road at Saint Louis in 2017. The Minutemen have a 1-1-1 record against the Flyers in the last three matchups, winning on the road in 2017 3-2 while Dayton picked up a double overtime win a season ago.
Home Away From Home
The Minutemen return to Baujan Field, the spot where they won their most recent league tournament championship in 2017 after winning a pair of neutral site games on Dayton's home grass. UMass also won the A-10 Tournament in 2007 on the same field on the way to its memorable NCAA Tournament run.
Alumni Weekend On The Horizon
Alumni Weekend will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 as the Minutemen host Saint Louis in the Atlantic 10 home opener on Rudd Field. For more information on the alumni festivities, visit here to read a letter from Head Coach Fran O'Leary.
Looking Ahead
After taking on Dayton on Saturday, the Minutemen will be at Rudd Field for the 5-of-8 remaining games on the schedule with Yale being the lone non-conference game between conference opponents on Oct. 15. The Minutemen host A-10 foes Saint Louis, Fordham, Rhode Island and Saint Joseph's all on Rudd Field.
