Women’s Lacrosse Announces 13 Newcomers To 2019-20 Roster

The class features 10 midfielders, two attackers and one goalie.

AMHERST, Mass. University of Massachusetts Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Angela McMahon announced the addition of 13 student-athletes to the squad for the 2019-20 academic year on Tuesday afternoon. The class features six athletes from the commonwealth of Massachusetts and three from New York along with one each from Connecticut, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Ontario.
 
"I'm really excited to welcome our 2019 incoming class," said McMahon. "It's a very large class but I think a class that is going to be extremely impactful. The athleticism and speed that they bring to the table is definitely going to help propel us to a higher level. Most importantly, they're quality people and people that are going to fit in really well with the culture and core values of our program. They're really down to earth, hard workers, very committed and are so excited to be a part of what we're doing here."
 
Kylee Bowen (Concord, Mass.) joins the Minutewomen from the New Hampton School, where she was named a U.S. Lacrosse All-American in 2019 after wrapping up her career with 212 career goals. A two-time team MVP, Bowen scored 64 goals as a senior on her way to her second consecutive Lakes Region All-Star selection in 2019. The midfielder led the MA/RI squad to a tournament championship in 2017 as she put home the second-most goals in the tournament. Bowen also played soccer and participated in alpine ski racing and was a member of the National Honor Society and High Honor Roll.
 
Erin Green (Chelmsford, Mass.) was a three-time Lowell Sun All-Conference selection at Chelmsford High School, where she led the Lions to Division I North Sectional Championships in 2018 and 2019 and to a Merrimack Valley Conference Championship in 2018. The two-time All-Eastern Massachusetts Second-Team selection scored 64 goals and added 12 assists for 76 points as a senior to finish her career with 234 goals and 57 assists. Green was a member of the National Honor Society and also ran track and Chelmsford.
 
Hannah Heller (West Babylon, N.Y.) was named second-team all-America after wrapping up her high school career at West Babylon. The midfielder earned a spot in the Under Armour All-America Senior Game after tallying 29 goals to go along with 23 assists in her senior year to finish her career with 126 goals and 45 assists. Heller also earned all-county nods in track and field and cross country in addition to lacrosse, claiming a state title in the 4x400 meter relay in 2017.
 
Sam Irwin (Toronto, Ontario) joins the Minutewomen by way of Everest Academy, where she was a team captain during her senior campaign. The midfielder also earned an alternate spot on Team Canada's U19 team for the U19 World Lacrosse Championships over the summer.
 
Molly Kearney (Newburyport, Mass.) wrapped up her high school career as the all-time leading scorer at Newburyport, where she scored 261 goals to go along with 145 assists. Kearney earned Lakes Region All-Star honors during a prep year at the New Hampton School in 2019, where she was also named to the High Honor Roll. The midfielder was a four-time all-star at Newburyport, racking up 151 points on 96 goals and 55 assists as a senior on her way to Daily News MVP honors. As a junior, Kearney was tabbed the Cape Ann League Player of the Year after being named the Attacker of the Year as a freshman in 2015.
 
Jen Kubler (Garden City, N.Y.) comes to Amherst from Garden City High School, where she helped lead the Trojans to N.Y. State Lacrosse Championships in 2016 and 2017. The attacker earned Garden City's Unsung Hero Award, a scholarship award handed out to a student-athlete who has been a positive inspiration to others. Kubler also played field hockey and basketball at Garden City.
 
Hannah Lustig (Somers, N.Y.) was a two-year team captain at Somers High School, where she helped guide the Tuskers to a league championship and Section One finals in 2017. The midfielder was a N.J. Under Armour All-America Command Team selection and part of the U.S. Lacrosse Hudson Valley National Team. The all-league and all-section selection also was a team captain for the field hockey team and ran track. Off the field, Lustig was a member of the National Honor Society and a coach for the Snipers Elite Lacrosse Club.
 
Fiona McGowan (Westwood, Mass.) was a two-time all-America selection at Westwood High School, where she led the Wolverines to four consecutive Tri-Valley League Championships and to the Division I South Sectional finals in 2019. A two-time TVL All-Star and two-time Eastern Massachusetts Girls Lacrosse Coaches Association First-Team selection, McGowan scored 64 goals to go along with 21 assists and 101 draw controls as a senior at Westwood. McGowan was named to the 2018 Under Armour Underclass New England Team and to the Under Armour Uncommitted Team in 2017 while earning a spot on the U.S. Lacrosse Schoolgirls MA/RI First-Team as a junior. The midfielder earned both Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic honors as a senior.
 
Allie Peebles (Atlanta, Ga.) helped guide Milton High School to three consecutive Georgia Lacrosse State Championship titles from 2017-19 before being named an all-American in 2019. The midfielder was part of a squad that climbed to a No. 12 national ranking in 2019 while earning the No. 1 ranking in the South in 2019 and 2017. A two-time all-state selection, Peebles was a scholar-athlete all four years in high school and a member of the National Honor Society. Peebles also played volleyball and was part of the swim team at Milton.
 
Erin Seibel (Medfield, Mass.) was a team captain at Medfield High School, where she set the program record for most points in a career as she finished with 233 goals and 131 assists on her way to Eastern Massachusetts Girls Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Star Team selections after her junior and senior seasons. The three-time Tri-Valley All-Star Team selection put home 65 goals to go along with 33 assists as a senior as she was named the team's MVP. Seibel also played field hockey and basketball at Medfield, helping the basketball team to a state championship as a sophomore.
 
Sally Stahl (Boalsburg, Pa.) earned Mid-Penn All-Star selections four times at State High, where she was tabbed the team's MVP twice after leading the Little Lions to a Pennsylvania District 2/6 Championship in 2019 and a Mid-Penn Commonwealth Championship in 2018. Stahl finished her final campaign as a senior with 75 goals, 33 assists, 41 ground balls, 29 caused turners and 125 draws won. The midfielder set a State High career record for shooting percentage with 80-percent while wrapping up her career with 188 goals to go along with 76 assists. Stahl was also an all-star selection in field hockey and a High Honor Roll student at State High.
 
Audra Tosone (Walpole, Mass.) was a two-time U.S. Lacrosse Girls High School All-America selection at Walpole High School, where she was part of Walpole squads that won three state titles and four straight Eastern Sectional Championships. Tosone scored 69 goals and added 36 assists, 111 draw controls and 130 ground balls as a senior on her way to being named the Boston Globe Will McDonough Female Athlete of the Year. A two-time Eastern Massachusetts All-Star First-Team and Bay State All-Star selection, Tosone finished her career with 207 goals and 137 assists. Tosone also played field hockey and ice hockey while earning High Honor Roll laurels as an honors student at Walpole.
 
Bridgette Wall (Wilton, Conn.) was a four-year varsity member at Wilton High School, where she was a team captain during a senior season that saw her save 46-percent of the shots she faced. The second-team all-state and second-team all-county selection stopped 54-percent of shots in her career, helping lead Wilton to a state runner-up finish in 2017 to go along with a FCIAC runner-up finish in 2018. Wall was also a High Honor Roll student at Wilton.
