Softball’s Series Opener In Dayton Suspended

The Minutewomen will resume game one in the top of the third inning tomorrow at 11 a.m.
DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Massachusetts softball team will resume its three-game series tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. after play was suspended in the top of the third inning due to field conditions on Friday afternoon at the UD Softball Field.
Game one of the series will pick back up with two outs in the top of the third inning with the Minutewomen leading the Flyers 4-3 after Kendra Allen sparked a four-run inning with a solo shot off the scoreboard in left center field before Erin Stacevicz drove in two more while Melissa Garcia added another on a RBI double.
Game two is scheduled to begin following the conclusion of the series opener with game three played later in the day if time and weather allows.
