Women's Lax Opens A-10 Tournament Against Davidson

Minutewomen face Wildcats in A-10 Semifinals on Friday at 1 PM.
RICHMOND, Va. - The postseason officially begins on Friday afternoon as the UMass women's lacrosse team faces fifth-seeded Davidson in the Atlantic 10 Championship semifinals at Robins Stadium. The top-seeded Minutewomen are looking for their 10th consecutive A-10 championship title and 11th overall.
The opening draw for Friday's action is set for 1 PM and will be streamed live for free on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network.
UMass enters the postseason with a 13-4 overall record and an 8-1 mark in league action. Four Minutewomen were honored with A-10 postseason awards on Wednesday highlighted by sophomore Stephanie Croke being named the league's Midfielder of the Year. Holly Turner, Hannah Burnett and Kasey Keane joined Croke on the All-Atlantic 10 First Team. For Turner, this marked the third time in her career to earn first team accolades.
Davidson advanced to the semifinals after a 17-13 win over VCU on Thursday in the quarterfinals.
The Minutewomen won the regular-season match-up 14-4 on March 31 at Garber Field. UMass held an 8-0 lead at halftime. A total of 10 different Minutewomen scored goals in the win highlighted by three from Kiley Anderson. Goalie Lauren Hiller made eight saves in the win.
