Men's Soccer Returns Home To Host Boston University Saturday

Minutemen and Terriers kickoff at 1 PM on Rudd Field
AMHERST, Mass. - After a tough loss at No. 24 New Hampshire on Tuesday night, the UMass men's soccer team returns to action on Saturday afternoon as the Minutemen host long-time rival Boston University at Rudd Field. Kick-off is set for 1 PM and the game will be streamed live on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network.
Admission to the match is free, but due to the home football game against Old Dominion at 3:30 PM, event parking for soccer will be limited to Lot 22 and Lot 33 which are both paid parking. Fans can purchase parking online for just $5.00 and print at home up to 9:30 AM on Saturday morning. Parking at the lots the day of game will be $10.00 and is cash only. The Minutemen enter Saturday's contest with a 2-1-1 overall record with Alex DeSantis leading the team offensively with a pair of goals and two assists for six points. Casey Hamill leads UMass with three assists, while four others have a goal scored this year.
Bardia Asefnia has been the keeper of record for the Minutemen with a 1.18 goals-against-average and a 0.762 save percentage. Prior to the UNH contest, he had conceded just a pair of goals in three matches.
Boston University is coming off a 3-0 loss on Tuesday at Albany and sits at 0-4-0 on the year. William Bonnelchye has started in goal the last two matches with a 2.50 goals-against-average and a 0.444 save percentage.
Following Saturday's match, the Minutemen will return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 12 with a 7 PM match on the road at Dartmouth. The game will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
