Men's Soccer Travels To New Hampshire Tuesday Night

Minutemen take to the road for the first time this season.
AMHERST, Mass. - It's a meeting of the unbeatens on Tuesday night as the UMass men's soccer team takes to the road for the first time this season to face New Hampshire at Wildcat Stadium. The match is set for a 7 PM kick-off and will be streamed live via UNH Wildcats Productions.
The Minutemen enter the contest with a 2-0-1 record after earning a draw against defending Co-Ivy League Champion Columbia last Friday afternoon. The Wildcats are 3-0-0 this year highlighted by a 2-0 decision at No. 22 Boston College last Friday.
Alex DeSantis leads UMass with a pair of goals and a pair of assists on the year for a team-best six points. His six points are second overall in the league and 13th nationally.
Casey Hamill is second in points and the team leader in assists with three, while four other Minutemen have notched goals in the opening three contests.
Defensively, keeper Bardia Asefnia holds the top spot early in the Atlantic 10 with a 0.50 goals-against-average while ranking third in save percentage (0.750).
It's been a strong early season for UMass which, along with the draw against Columbia, posted a 2-1 win over St. Francis which was coming off an appearance last season in the NCAA Tournament and was one of the top defensive units nationally.
Following Tuesday's match, the Minutemen will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 9 when Boston University visits Rudd Field.
