Ansley Baker set a new pool record in the 100 Free while adding three more wins.
AMHERST, Mass. – Junior Ansley Baker set a new pool record in the 100 Free with a time of 51.27 as the University of Massachusetts women's swimming and diving fell to Boston University 160-140 on Saturday afternoon at Rogers Pool. In addition to her pool record, Baker picked up an individual win in the 100 Breaststroke while adding two relay wins for the Minutewomen.
Baker's record-breaking time in the 100 Free broke the record set in 2012 after winning the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:05.62 earlier in the meet.
Baker along with Dasha Egkorova, Rachel Grant and Mariam Labib opened the meet with a win in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:47.48. Baker, Grant and Labib combined with Stephanie Judge closed out the day with a time of 1:37.27 200 Free Relay.
Labib added two runner-up finishes in the 50 Free and 100 Free while fellow freshman Kelly Malyszka added two of her own in the 1000 and 500 Free.
Emma Roush picked up another pair of wins, beginning with the 3-Meter Dive as she posted a score of 338.35 while Katie Polk and Maja Boric rounded out the top three. Roush went on to win the 1-Meter Dive with the top score of 298.80 while Boric took second with 295.20 and Polk finished third.
The Minutewomen will be back in action on Nov. 17 as they take part in both the Terrier Invitational in Boston, Mass. and the Frank Elm Diving Invitational in Piscataway, N.J.
