Massachusetts Women's Swim & Dive Land 17 On Academic All-MAC Team

The Minutewomen place the fourth-most members on the Academic Team.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Univeristy of Massachusetts women's swim and dive team landed 17 members on the Academic All-MAC Team, as announced by the Mid-American Conference on Thursday morning.Â
Diya Ackerman-Vallala, Lexi Alexen, Lindsay Burbage, Beren Cakiroglu, Karinne Everly, Kendall Gilbert, Maria Grishaeva, Danielle Guerin, Salem Howes, Brynn Morris, Sahana Narayanan, Molly Nelson, Sophie Porter, Hannah Schoenauer, Shreeya Sinha, Courtney Tedesco and Khrystyna Yaremyn were all named to the Academic All-MAC Team.
UMass had the fourth-most members placed on the team, behind Miami (OH) with 21, and Ball State and Buffalo with 20 honorees each.Â
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests scheduled or completed in the particular sport. First-year students and ANY transfer students in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
