The Minutemen hold a 3-1-0 series advantage all-time against Colgate dating back to the first meeting between the two squads in 2008. Colgate won the meeting last year on their home field 2-0.

Smith leads the UMass offense this season in goals scored with 10 and assists with seven to go along with a team-leading 27 points. Alex DeSantis picked up his ninth goal of the season in the win over VCU on Sunday to put him at 24 points on the year while adding six assists.

The UMass defense allowed just one goal during three A-10 Tournament matches, led by all-tournament performer Bardia Asefnia. Asefnia anchors a Minutemen defense in goal that has held opponents under a goal per contest at a 0.92 clip while picking up 66 saves and five solo shutouts.
