Men’s Soccer Hosts Colgate In First Round Of NCAA Tournament Thursday

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts men's soccer team will host Colgate on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the opening round of the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship at Rudd Field in the program's fourth tournament appearance. The Minutemen (15-3-3 Overall) defeated Colgate (10-10-1 Overall) earlier this season on Sept. 16 at home in a match that started an 11-match unbeaten streak for UMass.

The Minutemen secured the Atlantic 10 automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with a 3-1 win over VCU on Sunday in the title game in Dayton as UMass became the first team in the league to win both the regular season crown outright and tournament title in the same year since Rutgers in 1991.

The winner of Thursday's match will go on to face No. 13-seed Michigan on Sunday, Nov. 19 in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Tickets for Thursday's matchup will be $10 for adults, $5 for children and $3 for students.
