Manny Makes US Lacrosse Grand Opening Event Roster

SPARKS, Maryland - University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse alumnus Will Manny was selected to the US Lacrosse Grand Opening Event roster, as announced on Fri., Aug. 19. Manny and his teammates will participate in an intra-squad exhibition game on Sept. 11 – Manny's birthday – at the new US Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.
Manny currently ranks fifth in program history with 201 points via 107 goals and 94 assists. A USILA First Team All-America selection and Tewaaraton Award finalist in 2012, Manny stands tied for sixth all-time with his career assists total and is seventh for goals scored in team history.
Following his graduation, Manny joined the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL). Through four completed seasons with the team, Manny owns 176 career points via 106 goals (three two-point conversions) and 67 assists in only 50 games played.
One part of a larger, day-spanning tripleheader, the event opens with the U.S. women's team playing at 10 a.m. and closes with a special exhibition between the lacrosse teams from the FDNY and the NYPD at 4 p.m. Tickets for the tripleheader are on sale for $8. The men's and women's national teams will hold clinics for youth and high school players on Saturday, Sept. 10. Clinic registration is priced at $60.
