Minutemen Occupy No. 4 Seed In Upcoming CAA Championship

RICHMOND, Va. - The Colonial Athletic Association announced seedings for the upcoming CAA men's lacrosse Championship Saturday afternoon, with the Minutemen slotted in the No. 4 spot. UMass will face No. 1 seed and host Fairfield at Rafferty Stadium in Fairfield, Conn., at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 30 for semifinal round action.
Towson earned the No. 2 slot and will face No. 3 Drexel at 4 p.m. on April 30. The winner of each semifinal game advances to the championship, set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 2. The complete release from the CAA follows.
RICHMOND, Va. (April 25, 2015) - After a wild finish to the regular season, the pairings have been set for the 2015 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Men's Lacrosse Championship. In its inaugural CAA season, Fairfield clinched the top seed and will play host to the tournament, April 30-May 2, at Rafferty Stadium.
The semifinals will be held on Thursday, April 30 with both games streaming live on CAA.tv. The championship game will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 1:00 p.m. and will air live on the American Sports Network (ASN).
Fairfield (9-5) finished its first season in the CAA with a 4-1 league record to win the CAA Regular Season Championship outright. The Stags will take on fourth-seeded UMass (4-9; 2-3 CAA) in the semifinals. The Stags topped the Minutemen, 10-9, on April 4.
Towson (9-5; 3-2 CAA) and Drexel (7-7; 3-2 CAA) will have a rematch of Saturday afternoon's pivotal game. The Dragons, the defending CAA Champions, earned the two seed after edging Towson, 11-10.
