Minutemen Continue Work With Vs. Cancer Foundation

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse program and head coach Greg Cannella continue their support of the Vs. Cancer Foundation during 2015 fallball as the Minutemen are in the midst of their third year fundraising in support of the fight against childhood cancer.
"Being a small part of Vs. Cancer is an honor," Cannella said. "Helping these young people is an honor -- their battles are so much tougher than anything we all do. What Chase Jones [Founder of vs. Cancer] has created is incredible and we are humbled to have the opportunity to work with him."
The Maroon and White are fundraising as one team within a larger campaign titled Lacrosse vs. Cancer 2015. The Minutemen and their supporters have combined to donate $4,690 of a $8,000 goal. The contributions go toward the larger goal of $100,000 raised by Lacrosse vs. Cancer 2015. In total there are 23 teams participating in Lacrosse vs. Cancer 2015, including upcoming fallball opponent Rutgers.
