AMHERST, Mass. - Members of the University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse program continued to support the Vs. Cancer Foundation and its fight against childhood cancer on Friday. Following an early-morning practice at Garber Field, eight Minutemen volunteered to shave their heads in senior Connor Mooney, juniors Sean Cleary and Grant Whiteway and sophomores Ryan Curley, Kurt Hunziker, Zach Oliveri, Dan Muller and Kevin Porzelt.

With the partnership, UMass joined the Lacrosse Vs. Cancer Campaign, which creates an avenue for high school and collegiate athletic programs from across the country to come together with their fan bases to fundraise for the battle against children's cancer. Half of the proceeds raised will benefit national childhood cancer research while the other half will help kids directly through local children's hospitals.

Donations can be made through the UMass Lacrosse page on the Vs. Cancer website while those who wish to help but cannot do so through the website can mail a check payable to the Vs. Cancer Foundation, mailed to:
