UMass Looks To Keep Momentum Rolling against Maine, UMass Lowell
• UMass begins a stretch of three games in five days on Friday night as the Mass Attack hosts Maine before heading to UMass Lowell on Saturday in a key Hockey East Weekend. The Minutemen will then finish up the Hockey East schedule for the first half of the season in the annual pre-Thanksgiving tilt at Vermont on Tuesday (7 PM).
• The Minutemen have won three consecutive games heading into the weekend. UMass Lowell swept Maine last weekend in Orono. Also on the line for UMass is an unbeaten start at the Mullins Center (4-0-1) to start the season.
• UMass is 5-2-1 over Maine in the last eight games and has won five straight against the Riverhawks including all three in last year’s series.

BROADCAST INFORMATION
• All games will be broadcast live on the Flagship Station of UMass Athletics, 100.9 FM WRNX, with John Hennessy calling the play-by-play and Brock Hines providing color commentary. The pregame show for both games will begin 30 minutes prior to the opening face-off. Links for streaming video, audio, and live stats can be found at UMassAthletics.com.
• Selected home games throughout the season will be televised on CBS3 Now. Streaming video is also available through UMass All-Access (www.umassathletics.com/allaccess). This is a for-fee service which works best on high-speed internet. All home games will be available through the package.

The Series With Maine
• Maine leads the all-time series with UMass 40-16-6, however, the Minutemen have won five of the last eight against the Blackbears. UMass swept the season series in 2009-10 including the regular-season finale weekend series at Maine which helped put the Minutemen into the Hockey East Playoffs. Since 2007, UMass has posted a 10-6-1 record against Maine. Last year, Maine won the series 2-0-1 with the Black Bears averaging four goals per game. A tie on Senior Day at the Mullins Center secured a Hockey East playoff spot for the Minutemen.

The Series With UMass Lowell
• UMass Lowell leads the all-time series against the Minutemen 31-21-6 including a 10-8-2 mark since 2005-06. UMass swept last season’s series with the River Hawks which included two wins at the Tsongas Center.
• At Lowell, the series is a bit more balanced with it being tied 13-13-2. The series began in 1975 with Lowell winning 7-5 in Amherst.
• Last season, this was a match-up that paired two of the youngest teams in the country as both had 13 freshmen on the rosters. Both teams continue to be young relative to their counterparts as both teams now sport 20 freshmen and sophomores.

Next UP: Vermont / Quinnipiac
• UMass will head to Vermont on Tuesday for the annual Pre-Thanksgiving Tilt at 7 PM before heading to Quinnipiac for the third-ever meeting with the Bobcats. The Quinnipiac game will begin at 3:30 PM and will be televised on NESN.

STORY LINES: Maine / UMass Lowell
• UMass won three straight games for the first time since beating Vermont, Quinnipiac and UMass Lowell (11/23-12/4, 2010)
• UMass 7 goals vs. Holy Cross was the most for the Minutemen since defeating Providence 9-4 on Oct. 31, 2008
• A win over Maine would give UMass its first 4 game win streak since Jan. 10-23, 2010
• UMass is 5-2-1 against Maine in the last 8 games ... UMass has beaten UMass Lowell in five straight games including all three games last year
• At 3.80 goals per game, UMass now ranks 2nd in Hockey East for scoring
• UMass is also tied for third in the league on the power play (13-of-57, 22.8%) after going 4-for-9 with the extra man over the weekend ... UMass has a power play goal in six straight games
• Through the first 10 games this season, UMass has increased scoring over last year’s same time span – The Minutemen have 38 goals compared to 26 a year ago (+1.20g/game).
• The win over Boston College snapped a 12-game losing skid to the Eagles – the last UMass win coming on Nov. 22, 2008 in the Mullins Center (4-3, OT)
• UMass had a season-high 47 shots in the win over Bentley – its most since 48 against Providence on Oct. 31, 2009
