AMHERST, Mass. - Here's a weekly update on former UMass hockey players and their statistics in professional hockey. Check back each week to see how these former Minutemen are doing in the NHL, AHL, and the ECHL.
Jon Quick - L.A. Kings
-Has a record of 11-4 and is tied for 5th in the league.
-Quick has 384 saves
-He has held up 413 shots against
-.930 saves percentage, 3rd in the league
-1.91 goals against average, 4th in the NHL
-One shut out
-Played 910 minutes all season
-Has received 29,175 All-Star votes as of Monday morning
Greg Mauldin - Colorado Avalanche
-Has played in nine games
-Had a four point night against Minnesota on Saturday with two goals and two assists, earning him first star of the game honors.
-Scored first career NHL goal (shorthanded) on Nov. 12 vs Columbus, which was the eventual game winner
-Has three goals and four assists for seven points overall
-Taken 14 shots with a 21.4 SH%
Justin Braun - San Jose Sharks
-Was called up to the Sharks on Nov. 23
-Made his professional debut on Nov. 26 against Vancouver, wearing #61 and posting over 16 minutes of ice time
-First up his first NHL points with two assists against Edmonton on Nov. 27, posting a +2 rating and generating three shots on goal.
Casey Wellman - Houston Aeros
-Was reassigned to Houston from Minnesota on Nov. 23
-Picked up a goal and an assist against San Antonio on Nov. 26
-Tallied an assist and two shots on goal against Milwaukee on Nov. 27
-Has three goals and three assists in nine games with Houston
Mike Kostka - Rochester Americans
-Has 22 games played, tallying three goals and 11 assists
-Netted a goal and added three assists against Syracuse on Nov. 21
-Scored a goal against Wilkes-Barre on Nov. 27

Matt Anderson - Albany Devils
-Leads Albany in scoring with 13 points on eight goals and five assists in 16 games played
-Picked up an assist against Manchester on Nov. 26
-Netted the game-winner on Nov. 27 against Binghamton to snap a two-game losing skid
-Taken 41 shots on goal
James Marcou - Worcester Sharks
-Forward, Enters his first professional season
-Has three goals and seven assists in 21 games played

-All three of Marcou's goals have come with Worcester on the power play

Matt Irwin - Worcester Sharks
-This defenseman enters his first professional season
