AMHERST, Mass. - UMass' Sean Krygier was named a USILA Scholar All-American. He was one of 14 Division I honorees. He joins Brian Jacovina as back-to-back Scholar All-Americans from UMass. The pair join Harold Drumm and Mike DelPercio as the only four USILA Scholar All-Americans in UMass history.
Krygier was recently drafted in the fourth round by the San Francisco Dragons in the MLL Draft last week.
Krygier was a three-year starter at close defense for the Minutemen. He has been honored as a NEILA Senior Scholar-Athlete and UMass' male Spring Scholar-Athlete this month. He started the last 46 games, including all 14 this season. He finished his career with 69 ground balls and 38 caused turnovers. He helped anchor UMass' defense, which allowed just 8.5 goals per game.
