Lacrosse's Krygier Named NEILA Senior Scholar Athlete

AMHERST, Mass. - UMass senior defenseman Sean Krygier was named to the Ninth Annual Division I All-New England Scholar Athlete team. The NEILA recognizes all graduating seniors who earned better than a 3.0 GPA. Krygier was a double-major in Sport Management and Finance with a 3.6 GPA.
Krygier has been a three-year starter at close defense for the Minutemen. He started the last 46 games, including all 14 this season. He finished his career with 69 ground balls and 38 caused turnovers. He helped anchor UMass' defense, which allowed just 8.5 goals per game.
He was also honored as UMass' male Spring Scholar-Athlete last week.
