• After a pair of wins over Princeton (4-0) and Nebraska-Omaha (5-2) last week to close out December, the Minutemen will ring in the new year with a single league game against rival UMass-Lowell on Friday evening. UMass took the first meeting of the season between the two teams back on Oct. 22--a 3-2 OT win over the then-No. 15 River Hawks. UMass and UMass-Lowell opened league play against each other this season and will open 2005 Hockey East play against one another as well.
