UMass returns home after playing in their final Hockey East game of 2004 on Thursday night at UNH, where the Minutemen were shutout 4-0. Sacred Heart and Massachusetts have played only once before--a 13-2 win for UMass back in 1994. The Pioneers currently sit atop the Atlantic Hockey standings with their 6-1-1 league mark, but have yet to win a nonconference game in 2004. Meanwhile, the Minutemen--who are 6-6-2 at home this season--hope to head into the holiday break with their first win in three games.
