AMHERST, Mass. - Two University of Massachusetts soccer players, seniors Jeff Deren (Chicopee, Mass.) and Yuri Morales (Santa Cruz, Calif.), have been selected to play in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Senior All-Star Game on Saturday, May 10 at Gillette Stadium. The game will follow the Major League Soccer contest between the New England Revolution and the Los Angeles Galaxy at 4:00 p.m.

The duo was instrumental in leading UMass to its best four-year stretch in school history, posting a 52-25-5 record over the last four years. During that time, UMass won three Atlantic 10 titles (two regular-season, one tournament) and advanced to and won its first NCAA Tournament game.

Deren leaves school as UMass' all-time leading scorer with 113 points, 17 more than second-place Mike Butler. Deren also holds school records for career goals (48), single-season points (51) and single-season goals (22). He was the two-time Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year, and was selected as a third team All-American by collegesoccernews.com.

Morales scored 28 points (9 g, 10 a) as a senior to finish his career with 60 points to rank 10th on the school's all-time scoring list. Morales' 28 assists are a school record and his 12 assists in 2001 and 10 assists in 2002 rank second and third respectively.
